Facilitation & team workshops

Turn The Five Behaviors® profiles into better team conversations

Your team’s profiles show how it really works together. An experienced facilitator helps you turn those results into an honest conversation, clear decisions and actions people own – virtually or in person.

Sessions range from a 60-minute preparation session to half-day and full-day team workshops. Tell us about your team and we’ll confirm a clear price before you commit to anything; profiles are priced separately unless bundled, and in-person travel is agreed in advance.

When does facilitation help?

Reading a report is one thing; acting on it as a team is another. A skilled facilitator makes specific contributions that are hard to make from inside the team:

Surfacing difficult issues

Brings the uncomfortable parts of the results into the open – the topics people avoid in normal meetings – in a way that keeps the discussion safe and useful.

Constructive challenge

Questions easy assumptions and polite agreement, so the team debates ideas properly rather than settling for artificial harmony.

Letting the leader take part

With someone neutral running the session, the team leader can contribute as a member of the team instead of chairing a conversation that is partly about them.

Resolving different interpretations

People often read the same results differently. A facilitator helps the team test those readings against real examples and reach a shared understanding.

Reaching decisions

Keeps the discussion moving towards clear choices about what the team will change, rather than circling the results without landing anywhere.

Creating owned actions

Turns decisions into a short list of specific actions with named owners and a way of checking progress – so the work continues after the session.

Facilitation is particularly worth considering for new, merged or newly led teams, or where the results are likely to be sensitive. What changes afterwards still depends on the team’s own follow-through.

From The Five Dysfunctions of a Team to your team’s workshop

Many people first meet the model in Patrick Lencioni’s best-selling book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, which has sold millions of copies. Wiley developed The Five Behaviours in partnership with Lencioni, turning the model into assessments that give each team its own results on Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results.

Our workshops use The Five Behaviours solution, developed by Wiley – the profiles your team completes and the model behind them. They are not The Table Group’s own programme. Mission Group is an Authorised Partner for The Five Behaviors®.

Should your session be virtual or in person?

Facilitation is available in whichever format suits your team, your budget and where people are based.

Virtual sessions

Delivered over video call, with shared screens, breakout rooms and digital workspaces where useful. A practical option for distributed or hybrid teams, shorter sessions, or as a lower-cost way to get started.

In-person sessions

Delivered at your offices or an external venue you choose. Better suited to half-day and full-day sessions where a team benefits from being in the room together, away from day-to-day distractions. Travel and, where applicable, venue costs are agreed with you in advance.

What a virtual session looks like

Everyone joins from wherever they’re based. The facilitator shares the team’s results, runs breakout discussions and short exercises, and captures agreed actions on screen as you go – so the whole team leaves with the same record of what was decided.

What an in-person session looks like

The team meets around one table, at your offices or a venue you choose. The session is tailored to your team: a short grounding in the model, then guided discussion of what the team’s own results show.

Practical exercises help people put real issues on the table and work through them together. The session closes with decisions and agreed actions that the team owns – written up so everyone leaves with the same plan.

Enquire about the programme

Is your team ready for a facilitated session?

Good signs you’re ready

  • Your team is intact – people genuinely work together day to day.
  • Everyone has completed (or is about to complete) their profile.
  • The team leader is willing to be part of the conversation, not just observe it.
  • You can protect real time for the session, free of other distractions.
  • There’s an appetite to agree actions, not just discuss the results once.

Start with profiles first if…

  • You’re not yet sure whether you need Team or Personal Development.
  • You want to see the report content before committing to a session – see the sample reports first.
  • Your group isn’t an intact team, so Personal Development profiles are the better fit.
  • Budget or timing means profiles now, facilitation later, makes more sense.

Example half-day agenda

Every session is tailored to your team’s actual results and objectives. This is a typical shape for a half-day, in-depth session – not a fixed script.

  1. Welcome and objectives

Ground rules, confidentiality, and what the team wants to get out of the session.

  2. The model in context

A short recap of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results, framed around this team rather than the model in the abstract.

  3. Team findings

Guided discussion and practical exercises on the team’s results – where trust is strong, where conflict is avoided or unproductive, and what that’s costing the team.

  4. Commitment and accountability

Turning discussion into a small number of specific commitments the team is prepared to hold each other to.

  5. Action plan and next steps

Agreeing what happens next and who owns it – and, where relevant, planning a Progress Report follow-up to check in later.

Ready to talk facilitation?

Tell us a bit about your team – size, format preference and rough timing – and we’ll come back with options and a firm price. There’s no obligation, and no pressure to add facilitation if profiles alone are the right starting point for you.

Facilitation is entirely optional. If you already know your team needs Team Development or Personal Development profiles, you can order them directly – no enquiry required.

Facilitation FAQs

Do I need a facilitator to use The Five Behaviours profiles?

No. Facilitation is optional – many teams buy Team Development or Personal Development profiles and work through the reports themselves. A facilitator helps when a team wants support turning results into an open conversation, clear decisions and agreed actions.

How do I get a price for a Five Behaviours team workshop?

Contact us for a tailored quote. The price depends on session length, format, number of participants and any travel involved, so tell us a little about your team and we’ll confirm a clear price before you commit to anything.

Are profiles included in the facilitation price?

No. Profiles are priced and purchased separately unless explicitly bundled. The Leadership Team Cohesion Programme is the exception – it includes up to 10 Team Development profiles, and we quote for it individually.

Can sessions be delivered virtually or in person?

Yes. Virtual sessions run over video call and suit distributed or hybrid teams and shorter sessions. In-person sessions take place at your offices or a venue you choose, and suit half-day and full-day work; travel and any venue costs are agreed with you in advance.

Is this The Table Group’s Five Dysfunctions programme?

No. Our workshops use The Five Behaviours solution from Wiley, which was developed in partnership with Patrick Lencioni and is based on his book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. We don’t deliver The Table Group’s own programmes or assessment. See how the book and the profiles connect.

How do I book a facilitated session?

Email info@missiongroup.org or call +44 (0)20 7043 3422 with your team size, preferred format and rough timing. We’ll come back with options and a firm price, and confirm who’s facilitating as part of agreeing the booking.
