Which DiSC Profile Is Best for Teams?

The right profile depends on your team's development focus. Here is a quick guide to the most common team scenarios:

Profile Best team use case Price per person
Workplace Whole-organisation rollouts — suitable for all employees at every level £60 +VAT
Management People managers — developing consistent management practices across the team £100 +VAT
Sales Sales teams — adapting to different customer buying styles £100 +VAT
Work of Leaders Leadership teams — shared language around Vision, Alignment and Execution £100 +VAT
Productive Conflict Teams experiencing tension or difficult dynamics £80 +VAT
Catalyst Teams wanting ongoing, interactive DiSC engagement via an online platform £60 +VAT

For most teams — particularly whole-organisation or mixed-level groups — Everything DiSC Workplace is the most common starting point. Not sure which profile fits your situation? See our full DiSC profile comparison guide.

How to Order Multiple DiSC Profiles

Ordering DiSC profiles for a team is straightforward. Each profile is purchased and distributed on a per-person basis:

  1. Choose your profile. Select the Everything DiSC profile that matches your team's development goals — Workplace is the most common choice for teams at all levels.
  2. Buy one profile per person. Each team member requires their own individual assessment. You can add the required quantity to your basket when ordering online.
  3. Each person receives their own assessment link. After purchase, every participant receives a unique link by email to complete their DiSC self-assessment online, at a time that suits them.
  4. Each person receives their own individual report. Results are personal — each team member's profile is delivered directly to them. Results are not automatically shared with the team or the person who placed the order.
  5. Add facilitation if needed. For teams of five or more, we recommend adding a facilitated session to bring the individual profiles together into a shared team learning experience. Learn more about facilitation.

If you would prefer to co-ordinate a team roll-out — including managing assessment distribution and scheduling a facilitated workshop — contact us and we will handle the logistics for you.

Can Team Members See Each Other's Results?

Individual DiSC profiles are private by default. When a team member completes their assessment, their report is delivered to them personally — it is not automatically visible to colleagues, managers or the person who purchased the profiles.

Group comparison and shared insight only happens through two routes:

  • Facilitated sessions — a facilitator brings individual results together in a workshop context, allowing the team to explore each other's styles in a structured, safe environment. See our facilitation services for details.
  • Everything DiSC Catalyst — the Catalyst platform includes a built-in group comparison feature. Once all team members have completed their Catalyst assessment and are added to the same group, they can interactively compare their styles with colleagues directly on the platform. This is one of the key advantages of Catalyst over the PDF-based Workplace profile for team use.

If sharing and comparing results across your team is a priority, Catalyst is worth considering — or pair any profile with a facilitated workshop to create the shared learning experience.

What Is the Best DiSC Profile for Team Building?

The answer depends on the size and composition of your team, and what you want to achieve. Here is our recommendation by team type:

Small Teams (2–10 people)

For small, close-knit teams, Everything DiSC Workplace or Everything DiSC Catalyst both work well. Workplace provides each person with a comprehensive PDF report that can be discussed in a team session. Catalyst gives team members an interactive platform where they can explore each other's styles at any time, making it particularly useful for ongoing team development rather than a one-off event. Adding a facilitated workshop will significantly increase the impact for either choice.

Whole Organisation

For an organisation-wide roll-out covering employees at all levels and in all functions, Everything DiSC Workplace is the standard choice. It is explicitly designed for all employees regardless of role, seniority or department, making it the most practical and inclusive option. Many organisations begin with a Workplace roll-out and then layer in more specific profiles (Management, Sales, Work of Leaders) for relevant sub-groups as their DiSC programme matures.

Leadership Teams

For a senior leadership team or executive group, Everything DiSC Work of Leaders is designed specifically for the challenges of leading an organisation — focusing on Vision, Alignment and Execution rather than day-to-day management. It gives leadership teams a shared framework and language for how they lead collectively. Alternatively, if the leadership team also manages direct reports, Everything DiSC Management may be more relevant to their immediate development needs.

Should You Add Facilitation to a Team Order?

Facilitation is not required — every Everything DiSC profile is self-explanatory and delivers value as a standalone assessment. However, for team orders, facilitation substantially increases the impact of the investment.

When individuals complete DiSC profiles independently, each person gains self-awareness. When a facilitator brings those individual results together in a workshop, the team gains a shared language, mutual understanding and actionable strategies for working together more effectively. The whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

Our general guidance:

  • For teams of fewer than 5 people, the profiles often work well without facilitation — each person's report includes strategies for working with other DiSC styles.
  • For teams of 5 or more people, we recommend adding a facilitated session. The investment in facilitation typically pays back many times over in improved team dynamics and reduced friction.
  • For organisation-wide roll-outs, facilitation is strongly recommended as part of the programme design to ensure consistent understanding and application across the business.
