Who is Personal Development for?

Personal Development is the right choice when you want transferable teamwork insight for a person, rather than a picture of one specific, intact team.

Choose Personal Development if you're buying for…

  • Individuals building their own teamwork and self-awareness
  • People who work across several teams or change teams often
  • Mixed cohorts on a leadership or management development programme
  • New starters, as part of early career development
  • A single person, rather than a whole-team order

Choose Team Development instead if…

You have one established, intact team – a leadership team, a management team, or any team with shared goals and responsibility for results – who want a shared view of how that specific team works. The Team Development profile is £135 + VAT (£162.00 inc VAT) per person, minimum 3.

What's in the Personal Development report?

Each participant receives their own personalised report, built from their assessment answers. Our sample Personal Development report is 23 pages.

The report is designed to be read and used by the individual on their own, without needing a facilitator in the room to interpret it. Its feedback is personalised using the participant's Everything DiSC® results behind the scenes, but it doesn't name a DiSC style or teach the DiSC model – it describes their tendencies in teamwork terms. (Team Development, by contrast, shows each person their DiSC style and the styles of others in the team.)

Personalised insight across all five behaviours

The report applies the model Patrick Lencioni set out in The Five Dysfunctions of a Team – Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results – to the individual's own working style. New to the book? Read how Lencioni's model connects to these profiles.

The Five Behaviors® model: Trust at the base of the pyramid, then Conflict, Commitment and Accountability, with Results at the top. Each behaviour builds on the one below it.
The Five Behaviors® model – each behaviour builds on the one below it.

Trust

How comfortable this person is being open about mistakes, asking for help and showing vulnerability with colleagues.

Conflict

Their natural approach to disagreement, and how they can engage in productive, on-topic conflict rather than avoiding it.

Commitment

How they tend to commit to decisions and plans, including where a team hasn't reached full consensus.

Accountability

Their comfort with holding others to account, and being held to account, on behaviour and performance.

Results

How naturally they prioritise collective, team-level results over individual goals or status.

Insight you can take anywhere

Personal Development profiles aren't tied to one team, so the insight travels with you – useful whether you're joining a new team, working across several teams, or simply want a clearer picture of how you show up at work.

What happens after I order?

We handle the administration: participants get their access codes from us, and we monitor completion.

  1. Order online

Buy your profile at checkout. We email you a link to a short registration form. (Buying for a group? Email us first.)

  2. Register participants

Enter each participant's name and email address – now, or later using the same link.

  3. Access codes sent

When you register someone, we email them their own access code and a link to start the assessment. We monitor completion.

  4. Each person gets their report

Participants use their access code to complete the assessment and access their report. Need a different arrangement? Tell us before you register anyone.

Can I get a Comparison Report?

Comparison Reports are available for pairs of people who both hold a Five Behaviours profile. Built from their Five Behaviours results, a Comparison Report shows two colleagues where their approaches to teamwork are similar and where they differ, to help them work together. It doesn't depend on a separate Everything DiSC® assessment. If you'd like one for a pair of participants, ask us and we'll explain what's involved.

Want to bring people together to discuss results?

Personal Development profiles don't require facilitation, but if you've bought profiles for a group – say, a cohort from across different teams – an optional facilitated group session can help them discuss what their results mean in practice, together.

Personal Development FAQs

See our full Five Behaviours FAQ page for more questions about ordering, delivery and reports.

How much does the Personal Development profile cost, and is there a minimum order?

The Five Behaviours Personal Development profile is £99 + VAT per person, which is £118.80 inc VAT. The minimum order is 1 profile, so you can buy a single profile for one person without ordering for a whole team. The online checkout is for one profile; if you’re buying for a group or cohort, email us and we’ll arrange the order with you.

What's included with each Personal Development profile?

Each profile includes one official Five Behaviours Personal Development assessment and a personalised report, with insight across Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results (our sample report is 23 pages). The participant’s access code is emailed to them by Mission, we monitor completion, and you get email and telephone support throughout. Facilitation is not included and is available separately.

How quickly is my order set up?

After you pay, we email you a link to a short registration form where you enter a name and email address for each participant – now, or later using the same link. When you register a participant, our system emails them their own access code and a link to start the assessment.

How long does the assessment take?

It’s a short online questionnaire – most participants complete it in around 15–20 minutes, in one sitting, with no need to prepare beforehand.

Can I buy profiles without facilitation?

Yes. Personal Development profiles can be bought and used on their own, with no facilitation required. Facilitated sessions are available as an optional extra if you want to bring a group together to discuss their results.

Who receives the reports?

Each participant uses their own access code to complete the assessment and to access their report. If you need a different arrangement – for example, reports sent to you as the organiser – email us before you register participants, because each person is sent their access code as soon as they’re registered.

Does Personal Development use DiSC®?

Only behind the scenes. The feedback in Personal Development is personalised using the participant’s Everything DiSC® assessment results, but the report doesn’t name a DiSC style or teach the DiSC model – it describes the person’s tendencies in teamwork terms instead. Team Development is different: participants learn their own DiSC style and see the styles of others in the team.

Team or Personal Development – which do I need?

Personal Development (£99 + VAT per person, minimum 1) is for individuals, or people from different or multiple teams, who need transferable teamwork insight. Team Development (£135 + VAT per person, minimum 3) is for one intact team that wants a shared, team-level picture of how that specific team works. See our Team vs Personal Development comparison for more detail.

What are Comparison Reports and Progress Reports?

A Comparison Report looks at two people who both hold a Five Behaviours profile – for example, two colleagues who work closely together – and shows where their approaches are similar and where they differ. It’s based on their Five Behaviours results, not on a separate Everything DiSC® assessment. Ask us if you’d like one for a pair of participants. Progress Reports are part of Team Development: an intact team takes the assessment again later to see how its behaviours have changed.

What is the cancellation/refund position once access is issued?

Digital profiles are not normally refundable once a participant's assessment access has been issued. If you order the wrong profile type and access hasn't been issued yet, contact us and we'll help put it right. See our refund policy for details.

Is this the official Five Behaviours Personal Development profile?

Yes. It's the official Five Behaviours Personal Development assessment and report, sold and administered in the UK by Mission Group. Mission Group is an Authorised Partner for The Five Behaviors®. In UK writing you'll often see it spelled Five Behaviours – it's the same product.
