What is the Five Behaviours model of a cohesive team?
The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team model – the framework both profiles are built on – describes what a cohesive team actually does. Each behaviour rests on the one below it – without trust there is no honest debate, and without honest debate people never really commit.
- Trust One Another – people are open about mistakes, gaps and worries, rather than guarding their reputations.
- Engage in Conflict Around Ideas – with that openness, a team can debate ideas honestly instead of avoiding the difficult conversation.
- Commit to Decisions – people who have been heard get behind a decision, even one they wouldn't have chosen themselves.
- Hold One Another Accountable – once the plan is clear, colleagues challenge each other on behaviour and delivery.
- Focus on Achieving Collective Results – attention goes to what the team is there to achieve, ahead of individual or departmental wins.
Each participant's report shows how they, and the team, behave across all five – see a sample report.
Know The Five Dysfunctions of a Team?
From the bestselling book to practical team development
Patrick Lencioni’s book gives teams a shared language for familiar problems – guarded conversations, avoided debate, decisions that don’t stick and results that slip. The Five Behaviours, developed by Wiley in partnership with Lencioni, turns that framework into something a team can work on.
Each participant completes an online assessment and receives a personalised report on Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results. With Team Development, the team also sees a shared picture of how it works together – so the conversation moves from the ideas in the book to your own team’s habits and agreed actions.

What is The Five Behaviours?
The Five Behaviours is an official team development assessment, developed by Wiley in partnership with Patrick Lencioni and based on his book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Each participant completes an online assessment and receives a personalised report on Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results. On this site you can buy the two profiles – Team Development for intact teams and Personal Development for individuals – with the administration handled by Mission Group.
Team or Personal Development – which do I need?
Choose Team Development if you're buying for an intact team that already works together – a leadership team, a management team or any team with shared goals – and wants a shared view of how it works. Choose Personal Development for individuals, or people from different teams, who want personal insight to take with them. See our full comparison of Team and Personal Development if you're still unsure.
Can I buy profiles without facilitation?
Yes. Facilitation is optional and priced separately. You can buy profiles on their own, with the assessment administration handled for you.
How much does each profile cost including VAT?
Team Development is £135 + VAT (£162.00 inc VAT) per person, minimum 3. Personal Development is £99 + VAT (£118.80 inc VAT) per person, minimum 1. Every price is shown both ways before you buy, and there's no hidden standard administration fee.
What's included when I buy a profile?
Each profile includes one official online assessment and a personalised report for that participant. We send the assessment invitations and monitor completion, with email and telephone support throughout. Team Development also gives the team a shared, team-level view of its results, and once everyone in the team has completed their assessment, we send the reports together in one bundle. Facilitation is not included and is available separately if you want it.
How quickly is my order set up?
After you pay, we email you a link to register your participants' names and email addresses. For Team Development, we set up the assessment invitations once you've registered your complete team. For Personal Development, each participant is emailed their own access code when you register them. Most participants complete the assessment online in around 15–20 minutes, and Team Development reports follow together in one bundle once everyone in the team has finished.
Is it Five Behaviors or Five Behaviours?
Both refer to the same thing. The official product name uses the American spelling, “The Five Behaviors”, while in UK writing it's The Five Behaviours. The profiles you buy here are the official Five Behaviours profiles.
